JUNE BLOCK DESIGN WINNER
this is a quilt made from the winning block design contest from the Sweet Potato Quilt Club.

This month’s block is called Stepping Stones and it is a gorgeous, elegant one designed by Quilt Club member Megan Koverman. She won our most recent contest, and I wrote the pattern! I loved this block design so much that I decided not to mix and match it with another block. It is stunning as a stand-alone block.

This quilt block pattern is considered an Intermediate level quilt pattern because it involves 1/8″ cuts and trimming, and works with pieces that are cut on the bias. But no worries, it’s totally do-able, even for the beginner! I recommend starching your fabric when you begin, and watching the video tutorial you’ll find when you log in to download your pattern.

This video shows how to best trim one of the units of the quilt block, which is in 1/8″ increments.
