Block of the Month | April Quilt Block Pattern

Yikes! It’s already April and I have yet to share about any of these blocks from the 2024 Block of the Month Party! We have an enthusiastic group of almost 300 quilters making these blocks together, and a lot of them have opted into sharing their makes and asking questions in our private Facebook Community. Each month, quilters receive a 12″ quilt block pattern with a video tutorial that guides you through making it with a focus on a new skill that month. Got questions, and need help? Our friends in the Facebook Group are eager to chime in and cheer you on!

Quilt Block of the Month Photos

Check out this photo of April’s Quilt Block, along with all past months in 2024 to follow:

March Block – For some of us, piecing for Square-in-a-Square is new. We talked about the importance of folding and pressing pieces to align and match center points RST, and to piece and press on (2) opposite sides before continuing on with the other (2) sides.

February Block – Don’t you love the hidden hearts among the leaves of the quilt block flower?! In February, we practiced sewing pieces RST while matching points that meet on the diagonal.

January Block – We learned how to make and trim Half-Square Triangles and Flying Geese. Trimming is essential in helping us make sure our points are centered along the edges so that they match with other points when piecing.

Do you like what you see?

It is definitely not too late to join the Block of the Month Party.
