Quick Hack for Joining your Quilt Binding

If you’ve seen tutorials that help you join your binding on the diagonal with pinning, drawing a line, sewing and trimming, that’s a great way to join your binding. However, sometimes this method has me wrestling with the quilt to get it just right and at times I prefer this method which seems simpler and quicker to me. Watch the video to see what I’m talking about:

Pros: It’s fast and easy. I don’t need to wrestle with the quilt
Cons: It causes a little extra bulk in that area and the binding is not completely sewn shut. I guess one could hand-sew it closed?

Do you join your binding this way? Let me know in the comments!
