September Block of the Month

Easy quilt patterns for beginner quilters

The Sweet Potato Quilt Club is in full gear and the second block of the month, Blissful Burst, has been released. I would like to think (well, at least that is the feedback I’m getting) that these blocks are quick and easy to make, and are great beginner quilt patterns. At this point, we are just two months in and members have 28 block layout possibilities when they use the Quilt Club patterns!

The September Block of the Month, Blissful Burst

This block gives room to feature your larger prints in the center, and is simply cheerful in nature. Pattern uses 8-at-a-time HSTs, 4-at-a-time Flying Geese, and 2-at-a-time HSTs to help minimize fabric waste.

Check out the video below to see how this block interacts with previous block of the months.

Interested in joining the Quilt Club? We open just a few times a year but in the meantime you can sign up below to get a notification when it opens again.
