Mix & Match Quilt Block Patterns

At the Sweet Potato Quilt Club, quilters get monthly mix and match block patterns that allow them to choose from several quilt layout possibilities with past blocks. This month’s quilt block pattern is an intermediate pattern because it involves 1/8″ cuts and trimming, and works with pieces that are cut on the bias. But no worries, it’s totally do-able, even for the beginner! I recommend starching your fabric when you begin, and watching the video tutorial that will help you trim the unit to its correct size:

Mix & Match Quilt Layout Combinations

Quilters that have been members since we opened get 52 new quilt layout possibilities simply by adding this new mix and match block pattern to their library. Here are all of the new combinations that are available to them just from adding this quilt block pattern:

Members can use this single block to make a mini quilt, pillowcase, or add it with other individual blocks to make a tote, tablerunner, or a sampler quilt.
